Oscar Scherer State Park is a nature preserve where thousands of species call home. Bald eagles, bobcats, river otters and alligators can all be seen in the park. It also offers recreational activities.
For shopping, there are several areas including the Osprey Village shops, Blackburn Point Plaza and Southbay Fashion Center. Many restaurants can be found in Osprey everything from fresh mahi-mahi or grouper sandwiches to pizza to fine dining. Several restaurants are located on the "Tamiami Trail" US 41. Waterfront dining is available on Blackburn Point Rd.
