If You Love the Game of Golf
and Want a Private, Gated Golf Community
You Must Consider a Lakewood Ranch Country Club Home

Posted May 20, 2011

lakewood ranch country club     If you are seeking an upscale and secure gated-entrance golf course community. Lakewood Ranch Country Club in Lakewood Ranch, east of Bradenton in Manatee County, Florida should be on your list of places to consider buying a home. Residents of the Country Club golf course community enjoy a luxurious, yet comfortable, lifestyle in a community of ten neighborhoods. There are single-family homes spanning a fairly wide range of sizes with prices ranging from the mid $200's to over $2 million. There are also townhomes available in this most desirable golf community for those who are looking for a maintenance-free housing option.

The Country Club community, situated right in the heart of Lakewood Ranch, is one of the seven "villages" that comprise master planned 8,000+ acre development just north of the border between Sarasota and Bradenton. Lakewood Ranch is the largest green-certified community in the country having evolved over the past 20 years into one of Florida's most desirable master-planned communities.

The three 18-hole golf courses, Cypress Links, King's Dunes and Royal Lakes, of the private Lakewood Ranch Golf and Country Club include two designed by Arnold Palmer and one by Rick Robbins. Each course poses a different challenge including bunkers, water, forced carries, hazards and length. With several sets of tee boxes, the courses can be challenging for any level of skill. There are practice facilities, a 44,000 square foot clubhouse complete with dining lounges and card rooms, a pro shop, and locker rooms. The 14,000-square foot Athletic Center offers state-of-the-art exercise equipment, heated pool, 18 lighted tennis courts, plus a steam room, sauna, whirlpool and court side deli.

The Country Club village is close to Lakewood Ranch's "Main Street" with its unique shops, restaurants and entertainment venues and the site of an almost constant flow of festivals. The Country Club includes miles of sidewalks and walking trails wandering through beautiful conservation areas and sparkling lakes.

All the attractions of Downtown Sarasota including the Asolo Theater, Van Wezel Art Center, Ringling Museum, Selby Gardens, St Armands Circle and much more plus the area's incredible gulf coast beaches are only a short drive away. And, every conceivable water sport from fishing and scuba diving to sailing and power boating are available in both the protected waters of Sarasota Bay and out on the Gulf of Mexico.
